Backed by state-of-the-art green technology from world-class machinery suppliers and applying international quality assurance standards, BariQ re-processes post-consumer plastic PET bottles providing premium-quality food-grade FDA, EFSA & Health Canada compliant pellets to major international bottle and food container makers and recycled-material fiber producers.
What is PET?
It’s a polymer that’s used to manufacture strong, clear, lightweight containers and packaging articles. A key advantage of PET is that it has a well-established recycling infrastructure, and can be recycled numerous times. Its superb physical properties enable the manufacture of very lightweight containers which minimizes the use of natural resources.
Additionally, recycling the post-consumer bottles uses less energy resources per kilogram, where this material is usually burnt causing chronic and fatal diseases or dumped directly into the landfills.
The end result is a sustainable, cost-effective and high-performing solution that many of our brand-owner customers use up to 100% replacement for virgin-without compromising manufacturing efficiencies or product performance standards.
PET is used to manufacture an array of plastic products including but not limited to:
- Food Packaging
- Soft Drinks, Edible Oils & Water Bottles
- Personal Care Products & Detergents
- Fiber applications, Automobile Carpeting & Geotextile Fabrics Others:
- Industrial strapping
- Solar energy panels
Food grade RPET pellets are suitable for making the packing bottles for pure water, natural mineral water, distilled water, drinking water, flavoring and candy containers, and PET sheet material. The product features low heavy metal content, low content of acetaldehyde, good color value, stable viscosity.
If you are in the textile industry, PET is for you. Also known as fiber grade PET chips, filament grade PET chips or textile grade PET chips.
Textile grade PET Chips are used for making Polyester Filament yarn like POY, FDY and Staple fiber used widely in the Textile industry.
Polyolefins are produced from oil or natural gas by a process of polymerisation, where short chains of chemicals (monomers) are joined in the presence of a catalyst to make long chains (polymers). Polymers are solid thermoplastics that can be processed in two ways – by film extrusion or moulding. During film extrusion the polymer is heated and forced, in a molten state, through a die to produce thick sheet, thin film or fibres. The thickness of the film can be varied to produce anything from lightweight food packaging wrap to much heavier film for agricultural use. The moulding process involves heating and compressing the polymer in an extruder, and then forcing it into a mould where it solidifies into the required shape.
As part of our continues improvement strategy we add-value to our by-products to produce a better quality material that is suitable for a high end industries.
