Bariq was honored today with the visit of her excellency Dr. Yasmin Foaud – Minister of Environment as part of the ministry tour to check the complying factories in 6th of October industrial zone. The visit was mainly to check Bariq’s state of the art technological capabilities that provide optimum circular economy model by recycling single-use PET bottles into a food grade product in compliance with global and local standards. During the visit, Bariq team highlighted that optimum usage of resources is the core of our business that’s why we invested in the most advanced waste water treatment technologies to ensure water #recycling and preventing micro-plastics leakage to the environment. Bariq shared it’s ambitious expansion plan of a 2nd recycling line that will raise our recycling capacity to 4 billion bottles per year. Also, we discussed the potential cooperation in environmental awareness programs for public schools and capitalizing on #BariQ’s footprint to be showcased in #COP27 which will be held in Egypt.
